Now that the federal government has poured $66 billion into General Motors and its suppliers and affiliates, $11.5 billion into Chrysler and its suppliers and financing affiliate, and $5.9 billion into Ford, the automaker that supposedly didn't need a bailout, it is starting to wield its influence.
