Senior Securities and Exchange Commission staffers "spent hours surfing pornographic websites on government-issued computers while they were supposed to be policing the nation's financial system," reports the Associated Press. Some of the government employees involved earned salaries of "up to $222,418."
The AP headline is "GOP ramps up attacks on SEC over porn surfing," as if this is some sort of partisan issue. These are the guys that President Obama wants to give discretionary authority to on rewriting corporate governance rules on shareholder proxies?
