Boston City Councilor Convicted

A Harvard-educated Boston community organizer and six-term city councilor, Chuck Turner, was convicted on all charges after a federal trial related to accepting a $1,000 bribe to help a businessman get a liquor license, The Boston Globe reports.

If you didn't need permission from the government to sell liquor, it'd reduce the opportunity for this sort of corruption.
