One more point about weather and jobs: Canada, where the winter weather is as bad or worse as in the United States, added 69,200 jobs in January 2011, more than expected and more than America added. So blaming the weather for poor job creation in America just doesn't make sense. They have the same weather, or worse, on the other side of the U.S.-Canada border, and they seem to have managed to create jobs up there in January just fine.
