The Boston Globe's Jeff Jacoby has a column taking a skeptical look at proposals by some Massachusetts lawmakers to provide special tax breaks to companies in the video game industry: "For years the state has played this sucker's game of allocating financial benefits — grants, credits, and other tax breaks — to politically favored companies and industries....Beacon Hill's confidence in its ability to successfully pick marketplace winners and losers is boundless."
