Today is the launch of NewsTransparency.com, a new site that helps you find out more about the people who produce the news and allows you to hold them accountable, the same way that journalists hold other powerful institutions accountable, by posting reviews and sharing information. There is press coverage of NewsTransparency at Forbes, at the Poynter Institute's site (in not just one but two pieces), at the Future Journalism Project, and at Mike Allen's Politico Playbook.
The NewsTransparency site is operated by FutureOfCapitalism, LLC, which is also the parent of FutureOfCapitalism.
I'm quite excited about the new site and its potential impact, and I encourage FutureOfCapitalism readers to participate in NewsTransparency as well, and to help spread the word about the new site. Again, the link to the home page of the new NewsTransparency site is here.
