Reader comment on: Obama on Gibbs Pay

Submitted by Sam (United States), Jan 5, 2011 14:29

Obama has always said those making $250,000 a year are considered wealthy. His whole campaign and the recent tax debate was about those who made over 250K paying more in taxes. This article fails to mention that. He only called for tax increases on those making more than 200,000 for single people and 250,000 for families. The top 2% of earners make more than $250,000 a year, Gibbs' salary falls in the top 10% of earners or upper-middle class. I can see where the term "relatively modest" would set someone off but at least present all of the facts.
