that Gibbs was working 24/7 for "modest pay." Although his annual salary is above those of millions of Americans, even with those who have a dual-income household, but if you calculate the hourly wage of someone like Gibbs, who may work 70 hours a week, he's getting about $45/hr, which is less than that of plumbers, contractors and mechanics.
After working long hours, the money doesn't always seem like enough. Just sayin'.
