Top decile take-home pay lowest of all--correctionReader comment on: Roger Lowenstein on Executive Pay Submitted by emerich (United States), Mar 26, 2011 18:12 My previous post was wrong. Now that I did the calculations, I see that the US is in 6th place from the bottom among OECD countries. That is, among the 24 countries the top decile in 18 of them take home, after tax, a larger share of GDP than the U.S., and only 5 take home, after tax, a lower share. Among those countries with a higher share are Sweden, the U.K., Germany, Japan, Belgium, Italy, and Norway. Those with a smaller share are Korea, Netherlands, Australia, Finland, and France. http://www.taxfoundation.org/blog/show/27134.html Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing.
