Courage and convictions

My sense is that the Dems lacked the courage of their convictions last Fall, thus they did not complete a budget in 2010. If they had issued another monster budget full of massive increases in spending (creating even more lopsided deficits), they probably expected to be trashed by the electorate, even more than they were.
