Cameron Gulbransen's Dad Law

Reader comment on: Mandatory Rear-View Cameras

Submitted by GregG (United States), Feb 28, 2012 14:37

I'm sorry that his dad backed over Cameron Gulbransen but if he thinks that forcing everyone else to buy a car with a camera is the solution to his grief he should consider seeing clearly instead the real cause of the tragedy. It may be that a camera would have prevented it, but so would a traffic crew, all in orange vests, waving flags, lined up and down his drive. Alternatively, he could have located his son before backing over him. Not every tragic error deserves new, expensive, coercive Federal legislation, forcibly applied to millions, to salve the conscience of the unfortunate.
