Those are pranks

Reader comment on: Presidential Prep School Prank Precedent

JFK's actions were pranks, Romney's was an assault. He forcibly held a student down and cut his hair, probably because he was thought to be gay. Very different things. If Romney had just said he made a bad mistake, I would accept that people change after 50 years. But the fact that he doesn't remember scares me. Either such an event was not memorable (how could such an assault not be? It clearly was for the others involved) or he did such things so often they blended into one another so he actually doesn't remember this one. Most likely, he remembers and is just lying. Romney is an inveterate liar it seems. Call Obama what you will, but his default setting isn't to lie.
