Financing on credit cardReader comment on: Democratic National Convention, Night Two Submitted by Jerry Skurnik (United States), Sep 6, 2012 17:40 You ignore Steny Hoyer's reference to paying for the wars on a credit card. The Future of Capitalism replies: A fair point, though with the Iraq War the Democrats' main objection seemed not to be how it was paid for, and with the Afghanistan War, for the first two years of the Obama administration the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress and chose to finance the war via borrowing rather than tax increases.
