If only people were forced to share their toys under a Kristoffian dictatorshipReader comment on: Nicholas Kristof's Roommate With Cancer Submitted by Dan Rand (United States), Oct 15, 2012 02:25 Everyone who reads Kristof's editorial should note all of the recent discussion about eliminating PSA testing on the theory that few lives are saved by the procedure because a "typical" instance of prostate cancer would be slow-growing and unlikely to kill the man before he succumbed to heart disease or another incident of old age. It will be tough luck for many more than Mr. Androes if the infamous "death panel" puts that theory into unreviewable effect pursuant to Obamacare. If Washington was anything like New York, pursuant to Obamacare, reasonably-priced coverage for uninsured persons with pre-existing conditions became available around October 1, 2010. Did Mr. Kristof share his broad knowledge of health-care developments with Mr. Androes at that time? Did Mr. Androes hear about the program and reject it as still too costly for him?
