Medicare Part B and D are already means tested

I wish folks would bother to check the CMS site for details anyway if are single above 85k you pay $40/month more, above 107k $100/month more, and above 160K $160 per month more and above 213k 240/month more. There is also means testing for the drug (part D ) maxing out at around $50/month (married income limits are 2x the single)

I do wish folks would get this clear, the only previously paid for part of SS is part A the hospital part which in 1965 was the vast bulk of medical expenses. That and only that is paid for by the medicare tax, part B and D are paid for by general revenue.

I do wish folk would be more complete and provide a more correct answer. Note that the means testing came in about 2006.
