He said again and again to let the breaks above 250k expire. Tax rates will increase from 35 to 39.6 for the top bracket. That is a lot of money for a person making 7 figures, but that person will still have a huge amount of money and this extra tax won't be a hardship. Faulting Obama for not framing his tax increase in the least favorable light seems a little naive about how politics works. It was Romney's job to make it sound bad, and I think he tried his best. Yet, the votes still chose Obama.
