How 1950s of the times

Reader comment on: Always the Inequality

The web changes everthing: for example no need to go the the independent toy store, here is a link to one I found quickly on the web:http://www.buildingblockstoys.com/ . Since toys are not perishible there is no reason to get them locally. Internestingly the site has alphabet blocks in Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Spanish, French,Polish, Chinese, Korean and Italian at least with also a lower case English, Presidents and Music also. I have not bought anything from them, so this is not an endorsement, but rather demonstrates that ones location need not restrict what one buys, in particular for non perishable items, (note I live in a county of 45k 70 miles from San Antonio, and with the web and UPS/Fed Ex/USPS there is little need to go to the big city to buy things) Given the hassle I understand getting around NYC is it would seem the web is a better solution, all be it that its just a much larger version of the old Sears big book.
