Obama's Got To Be Kidding -- or Nuts

Reader comment on: Obama's College Scorecard

This man (Obama) must be out of his mind. Does he not know that many of the most important contributions to our society are made by relatively low-paid, albeit college-educated, individuals? Teachers, social workers and even professors would be at the low end of his scale, not to mention many of the world's most brilliant bloggers, as well as those who work pro bono.

To show what a ludicrous idea he has proposed, I offer a study that the University of North Carolina made in a similar effort to discover what majors lead to the highest incomes. The answer they found was a field known as "cultural geography." How does studying "cultural geography" lead to a high income?

Well you might ask. Because it was Michael Jordan's major, the highest net worst alumnus of the University of North Carolina.

So much for correlating majors and income levels, not to mention judging colleges by the income their graduates can achieve.

Horsefeathers.
