Because of the number of spanish speakers, as well as good flight connections thru Miami to Latin America Florida has become the new Financial capital of Latin America. (Banks in the US are more secure than in country banks...) In addition once we finally and completely get over the national anger at Cuba, Florida will become even better located. (We did manage it with Vietnam which cost the country far more lives than Cuba so...). Now Jacksonville also has geographic advantages that Southeast Florida does not, in particular a good bit of land to expand west, (Between Jacksonville and Lake City (where I-10 and i 75 meet) which is about 60 miles, is a lot of empty land. For data centers Lake City is probably a preferred location being between 150 and 200 feet above sea level and 60 to 75 miles from a coast providing some hurricane protection. Of course being on both 10 and 75 helps in terms of communications. (It is always better to put data centers away from the coast for reliability)
