European system of honesty in reporting is better

Reader comment on: The Politics of the New Yorker

National papers in Europe make no pretense at impartiality. If I read the Guardian in the UK, I know I'm going to get a left-wing slant. Likewise, Le Figaro in France tends conservative, Le Monde centrist. I can get the news I want, left, right or center and I know what I'm getting. Much better IMO than our system of journals pretending to be interested in reporting just the facts.
