GoodRx.com beat them to it.

Reader comment on: Amazon Pharmacy

The really interesting marketing innovation that beat Amazon into the field is called GoodRx.com. It cuts the asking price markedly for most drugs. It may not beat an insured price, but for anyone lacking insurance, it shaves literally hundreds off some prescriptions, and a big chunk off of others. The two men who started it came out of Facebook. They have bargained with many drug store chains, Walmart, Target, Costco, etc. And on very expensive meds they've gotten the manufacturers to throw in additional price cutting coupons.
