In the Obama years, I always said that if I didn't like something that the GOP did, I should imagine how I'd feel if Obama did it. If I was still pissed, then the feeling was valid, but if I wasn't -- or even just significantly less -- then the feeling was more irritation with the GOP than a fair assessment of actions and motivations.

So though I despise just about everything to do with Trump (except his Brioni suits), your point is valid. He should get credit for these actions. Even if he didn't facilitate them (and I don't know if he did or not), he didn't block or impede them.
