From The New Republic's health-care blog, a word from the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Howard Dean, a physician himself: "The reason there is no innovation in Europe is because of regulation on prices. ... Probably more Republicans agree with me on this issue than Democrats." Indeed. The blog notes that Dr. Dean is now being paid to work for the biotech industry.
