As a Santa Monica resident, I have seen Mr. Broad's unlisted storehouse of "modern art". In my opinion, it is without exception repulsive and soul deadening. (and I'm a fairly open minded guy). Point is: you have made me think that the nihilism of the "art" collection is directly related to the lack of continuity you have identified in his bequeathment philosophy.
