In particular if you participate in the government of a country and don't pay its taxes, you are at best a hypocrite. The lord in question did have input on taxes and yet felt they only applied to the other guy he was special and deserved what he could take, just like the folks in the US with offshore bank accounts. If you take services from a country you should pay its taxes. If I were in charge move all countries to a citizenship based tax regime like the US.
