These government employees earning $51+ per hour blows my mind, kind of. I guess I'm used to outrageous pay rates for government employees by now. My brother used to work as a road construction flagger during his college summer breaks. He made $24/hour to stand on the side of a road and flip a sign back and forth from "Slow" to "Stop." This would never happen if he was being paid by a private source. I guarantee you could find people to perform that job for around $10/hour.
