The government has no moral right to "step in to provide a pool" anywhere--and that is true whether it loses money, breaks even, or makes huge profits.

The proper purpose of government is not to keep insurance costs low or to make insurance available but to protect citizens' rights. And, as it cannot do the latter in any attempt to do the former, Americans have to choose between a government that defends freedom and one that violates it (to varying degrees).

For the sake of America, and its chances of ever again deserving to be called "the land of the free," I hope that Americans choose well.
