Evidence, schmevidence!

This story doesn't fit the narrative at the NYT, so they don't bother with evidence. They figure the so-called "smart set" is reading the NYT and will bolster the voting. I personally don't think there are too many folks in Nevada that are in the NYT-reading demographic.
