Contrition or Deflection?

Reader comment on: Preet Bharara's Mistake

Submitted by Wall Street Gulliver (United States), Feb 14, 2024 15:54

Preet Bharara knowingly overcharged a number of defendants and his loss rate on appeal in insider trading cases is stunning compared to federal prosecutions, broadly speaking. It gets very little attention b/c he successfully 'captured' media through selective leaks and Wall Street is not politically popular.

That he is unwilling to admit his error here (for example, a number of potentially overcharged defendants committed suicide) is appalling.
