Assume that a less regulated vendor screws up and delivers E-Coli to several kidsReader comment on: The Lobster Underground Submitted by Lyle (United States), Mar 14, 2011 02:31 Imagine the uproar then. As we have seen in China or in the US 110 years ago less regulation of the food supply means that some suppliers will gamble with fate, and eventually someone will loose the gamble and kill a few kids. The authorities are here between a rock and a hard place, less regulation means that more can compete but eventually some will die. The fully libertarian point of view works if all are honest and not above cutting corners, however some will because its human nature to make a quick buck.
