This is pure populism which a David Brooks column covered on monday. The politicians have to have someone to demonize else they will be the ones demonized with a throw all the bums out party. (Both Dems and Reps, the Dems do what they promise, the Reps said one thing and did another from 2000 to 2006 , are talking a different game now but fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me).
