Come election time, if NYT endorses any candidate for any office then might a 'sue-happy' hobbyist attorney go after the NYT for making a foreign money contribution-in-kind to the candidate. Would probably go nowhere however it would be fun to get the 'campaign finance (de)form' crowd tongue tied.
