Lincoln's 3 wrong acts--and one right one that Obama omittedReader comment on: Presidential Plagiarist? Submitted by Harry Binswanger (United States), Sep 10, 2011 10:03 Fascinating that Obama cited the three improper acts of Lincoln (intervention in railroads, education, and science) while omitting the proper and necessary one: the Homestead Act. The Homestead Act defines how property rights are to be acquired, and such is necessary pursuant to the government's protection of property rights.
