Freedom of travel is not a rightReader comment on: Rubio on Immigration Submitted by Dion Johnson (United States), Nov 1, 2011 15:08 I agree that people should be free to LEAVE, but that does not imply that some destination must be obligated to receive those refugees. If I don't like my house (or country), I should be free to leave. But that does not mean I should be free to move into my neighbor's house (or country). Travelling is not just about MY rights, but also about the rights of those people whom I displace or impact by my migration. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing. The Future of Capitalism replies: Well it's hard to have a freedom to leave that means much if the leavers have no where to go. Other reader comments on this item
