How the Other Half Votes

This is a single state event to pick convention delegates who offer about 1% of the tally for Republican and Democratic Party national conventions. It hardly represents much of anything.

Several streams of influence bring the Iowa Caucus to a wide array of conservaitve, libertarian, and Objectivist blogs, websites, and discussion boards. Not the least of those was Ayn Rand's dalliance with the GOP. Basically, we are "conservatives" so we care more about the Republican Party than the Democratic.

In reality, most libertarians, like most Americans, simply ignore these brouhahas. Overall, generally, only about half of the eligible voters show up at the polls. For the other half, this is all irrelevant.
