I agree - no returnsReader comment on: Romney's Tax Returns Submitted by Bill (United States), Jul 19, 2012 18:35 The Editor is correct; and so is Mitt Romney. There are no advantages - and quite a few disadvantages - to Romney turning over more tax returns than the law allows. Two points; first, a Presidential candidate doesn't have to do EVERYTHING the press or pundits wants him or her to do ... that's an unreasonable expectation - especially for the press. Second, Romney should turn it around on his opponent; make a very public announcement that the only way those tax returns will be released - again, emphasizing that, by law, he doesn't have to release them - is if Barack Obama opens up HIS records ... specifically, his educational records, and the Fast and Furious documents. Romney should tell Obama and the American people that he will make it a straight-up trade; the tax returns for those specific records. We all know how Obama's going to respond - and then Romney will have more clubs to use during the debates and election. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing.
