Over at Instapundit, Glenn Reynolds refers to a Breitbart article that reminds us how Breitbart emphasized the importance of maintaining the culture.

That's exactly what the GOP is not interested in doing, nor was the Tea Party interested. Everyone decided to focus like a laser on the economy. See how well that turned out?

Obama will pack SCOTUS with judges that make the Warren Court look Reaganesque. Culturally, we will be indistinguishable from Holland or the Netherlands or Sweden by the end of Obama's term. And once the culture is lost, the economy is lost. With the re-election of Barack Obama, the country has flown itself into a position from which it cannot recover.

American democracy is done for.
