As this site is so eager to point out, this country taxes many things. Income is one piece of the pie (a large one), but hardly the only tax. Payroll taxes, medicare taxes, sales taxes etc are all taxes born by far more than 47% of people. Even for someone who does not pay as much, he/she still has a stake.
