I do not agree that Brooks' column on inequality is good. He says: "There is a growing consensus that the government should be doing more to help..."

No, the government should be doing less to harm. Government "help" is what has created all the actual problems. And speaking of actual problems "inequality" is not one of them. It is of no concern to anyone.

I give the real meaning of inequality in my Forbes column of this week, which is on the real meaning of Obama's language:

"Inequality": the intolerable condition in which those who, understandably, don't like themselves have to endure the sight of those who do.
