Do Some ResearchReader comment on: New York Public Library Stacks Submitted by Demi Monde (United States), Jun 4, 2014 11:02 This is one of the most ignorant pieces of "news" I have ever read. You clearly don't know even the fundamentals of NYPL's plans for renovations, that have been stoking criticism for over 2 1/2 years. This is a wonderful balance to what was initially proposed, that enraged everyone from Ada Louise Huxtable to Michael Kimmelman, and countless internationally renowned authors and scholars. And just to clue you in, since you have not even one, the Carnegie steel stacks are not climate controlled (temp/humidity), which is essential for the conservation of the materials stored there. They'll go underneath Bryant Park, be easily accessible, and protected. Probably too much information for you. Note: Comments are moderated by the editor and are subject to editing.
