The Future of Capitalism replies: There's some peer-reviewed economic research that shows a modest wage-depressing effect on low-skill workers regardless of race. But it's a global economy, so low-skill workers are essentially competing with the foreign workers anyway. And the additional domestic labor supply is offset by the fact that these same immigrants are also consumers and job-creators.
