The Hayek Center has posted a video from November 1978 of Robert Bork and F.A. Hayek discussing intellectuals. Judge Bork sees something "a little more sinister" in the trend "towards more regulation, towards more intervention, towards more politicization of the economy." Professor Hayek says, in a thick Austrian accent, that intellectuals are repelled by an idea if it is easily intelligible. Both men seem blissfully unaware that they, too, are intellectuals.
