The president of the Club for Growth, David McIntosh, has sent a letter to Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader McConnell laying down some markers for the economic policy agenda in the Congress ahead. The key points:
- reform the individual income tax code, not just corporate taxes
- pass clean fast-track trade negotiation authority
- deal with infrastructure via the Transportation Empowerment Act that lowers the federal gas tax to 3.7 cents a gallon from 18.4 cents and lets the states take the lead on road, bridge, and highway projects
- Pass the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act
- Repeal ObamaCare
