so then don't drill!!!Reader comment on: Hayek and the Gulf Spill Submitted by ben (United States), Jun 14, 2010 13:03 If something cannot be regulated for technical reasons, and it is prone to a catastrophic event such as the BP spill, then the drilling should never have taken place, and should not take place in the future. Companies should have to pay for their failure, but if the possible failure is greater than the market capitalization of the company, it should not be allowed to engage in the behavior.
