Given that the best and brightest bankers got us where we are we need mediocre bankers.

If the best and brightest managed to screw up things as bad as they did, perhaps we need uncreative dull bankers who just do the simple things instead. In addition perhaps Shakespeare was right about hanging the lawyers, at least working for banks. Banks should be dull places doing dull things.
