Reader comment on: Schneiderman's Sense of Entitlement

Schneiderman's sense of entitlement stinks, but it probably pales to what happens on the federal level. A few examples of political entitlements for the demigods in the U.S. Senate and House: Private and military jets (no rude TSA screeners or full-body scanners needed) instead of commercial flights (Pelosi is an extreme example of this); On-site/free income tax preparation because they write tax laws that they themselves cannot understand; On-site/highly subsidized medical care with physicians available 24/7; Essentially unrestricted use of unspent campaign donations if the incumbent does not run for reelection; Virtually unlimited taxpayer funded junketeering overseas to vacation destinations and pocketing any unspent perdiem funds; employment of spouses, children and other family members as lobbyists with essentially no conflict-of-interest restrictions; and, probably worst of all, a campaign funding system that floods incumbents with donations in trade for favors, giving us multimillion dollar bridges-to-nowhere and airports with one or two flights a day.
