How else are Democrats going to raise funds on Wall Street and in corporate executive offices if domestic policy advisors on Capitol Hill can't find a way to trade on their connections? Here's one I haven't seen reported (not that I'm a news junkie), from a profile/interview in Chemical & Engineering News with the DoE's Undersec. of Science, Steve Koonin: Prof. of Theoretical Physics at Caltech, 81-95, Caltech provost 95-2004, Chief Scientist BP, 2004-09, Obama appointee, 2009-present. Yes, a theoretical physicist and academic was named Chief Scientist at an oil company, where according to the interview, he "spent most of [his] time thinking about geology, biology and chemistry- the scientific, fact-rich subjects I took least often in high school..." Bet it paid better than Caltech!!
