what about the 1099 burden

Reader comment on: Health Care Mandate Tax

Submitted by mike (United States), Jul 19, 2010 19:37

The healthcare act introduces a requirement for every taxpayer to report payments over $600 made to anyone else. This is an incredibly burdensome and expensive requirement levied in the dark of night on all businesses. It is particularly burdensomoe on small businesses. At the same time the IRS is hiring and invensting in new computer systems to deal with all this paperwork - and for what?

to satisfy some democratic congressionsal staffer's notion of what rights we have and the infinite rights of the govt to burden us with reporting requirements.
