The really amusing aspects are overwhelming. First of all, it's only after they're dead; I'd be more impressed if they started shoveling it out right now. And secondly, it's only half - Gates and Buffet could give away 90% and still leave enough to their kids to make them trust-funders of AlGore-ian proportions. It's just shameless posturing, a ludicrous attempt to buy a reputation for philanthropy without any real sacrifice, and I don't know of anybody with two brain cells to rub together who will be fooled by it.
