Reader comment on: Center-Right America

Professor Starr betrays his own ideological roots when he calls Senator Collins' rousing call for reason and temperance "immoderate." Many on the Left are so immersed in its dogma and truisms that they cannot recognize that any view contrary to their own could be sincerely held.

The Future of Capitalism replies:

Even the New York Times front page news article about the Collins speech called it "reasoned, carefully researched," noting, she "said a two-hour, face-to-face session with Judge Kavanaugh and an hourlong follow-up call, as well as an exhaustive review of his opinions, had persuaded her that he would not overturn Roe v. Wade" and "a close look at Judge Kavanaugh's decisions indicated that he would not overturn the Affordable Care Act and its protections for pre-existing conditions."

So, yes, excellent point and good catch.
